Privacy policy

The Mac app

Spotpage indexes Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Arc, Brave and Edge history on your computer and searches it there. Browsing history, bookmarks, queries and on-device answers stay on your Mac. The app has no account and does not upload that data to us.

This website

The site itself is separate from the app. It may collect:

• Notify-me email — if you ask to be told when a new version ships. We store the address and the time you signed up, and use it only for that note. You can ask us to delete it.
• Purchase details — if you buy Spotpage, Stripe handles the payment. We keep the Stripe checkout id, the email Stripe collected, the amount and the time, so we can send a download or a refund.
• Basic site analytics — Google Analytics on these pages, so we can see that the site is being used. That is not tied to your browsing history in the app.

Payments

Card charges are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the information needed to take payment (typically name, email and card details). We never see your full card number. Stripe’s use of that data is described in their privacy policy.

Who we share with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that run the site and checkout: our web host, Stripe, and Google Analytics. Your Mac’s browser history is not among the things we share, because we never receive it.

How long we keep it

Notify-me addresses stay until you ask us to remove them or we shut the list down. Purchase records stay as long as we need them for receipts, refunds and tax. Analytics is kept according to Google’s settings.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK you can ask for a copy of the website data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@spotpage.app. The app’s local index is on your disk — delete the app and its data to remove it.
